- Your reservation time is your check-in time
- After you are signed in, we’ll ask you to wait on the back deck for our shuttle. It will take you to the Activity Platform.
- Upon arrival you will be greeted by a Coordinator and placed in a group
- A bit of patience may be required, but once you get started, time will quickly fade from consideration
- When you finish your activities, catch the shuttle back to the office (it runs every 20 minutes or so)
- Once you return to our office you will get to see the pictures and videos that we have captured for you.
- We do our best to capture all of your experiences. Sometimes our equipment fails, or a staff member will make a mistake. And sometimes the ocean water just blurs the pictures. But we try!

Is parasailing safe?
- We’ve been taking families parasailing safely since 1986. Our vessels are specifically designed for parasailing.
- Our US Coast Guard licensed captains have been trained to provide a safe and thrilling experience.
What age can I go parasailing?
- You must weigh at least 50 lbs. to parasail under typical weather conditions.
Is there a maximum weight?
- We have a maximum weight of 450 pounds in the parachute.
- For an additional charge, larger individuals may be required to upgrade to a solo flight.
Do you land in the water?
- Every launch and retrieval takes place from inside a boat custom designed for this activity.
Will I get wet?
- Traditionally everyone takes a momentary dip in the tropical waters of Maunalua Bay just before landing. It is the best part of the parasail ride!
- If you prefer to stay dry, ask our friendly boat staff and they will do their best.
Can I take my camera?
- Aloft, the views of Oahu are spectacular.
- Hands free cameras are welcome; selfie sticks are dangerous and not permitted.
Are pictures available?
- Digital media photos and GoPro digital video services are available to all participants; we are the only company that records video of every flight.
- Our digital media center offers media for immediate purchase.
- The lovely Hawai’i Kai coastline, Koko Crater, Koko Head and the Ko’olau Mountain Range are a spectacular backdrop.
I have an odd number in my party, how does the ride work?
- The captain will decide if someone in your group will go up twice (no extra charge) or if someone may fly solo or we may fly three people at a time.
- You may fly with an unrelated party
- The decision is up to the captain and is based on weight and weather conditions.
Are observers allowed?
- Observers are welcome for a fee, and, if space is available, they are invited to upgrade to parasailing.
Is there space for personal belongings?
- There is a small area for personal belongings on the parasail boat.
Are other activities available?
- Other activities get underway from the same floating activities island, so plan on staying for the parasailing, plus jet skiing, banana boat and bumper tube rides (all on a space-available basis). Ask at check-in about multiple experience discounts
- The floating activities island has open areas for sunbathing and covered areas where you can shade yourself from the warm Hawai’i sun

What type of jet skis?
- New skis are almost always safer skis. We change our equipment nearly every year.
- We use Yamaha VX series skis
Where do we get the jet skis?
- Jet Skiing Launches from our floating Activities Island which an 8 minute shuttle boat ride through a private marina
- At anchor, the Activities Island has a huge, partially sunken platform. An instructor floats the Jet Ski onto it; you wade over, mount up and ski away
How old do I have to be to drive a jet ski?
- 16 to drive a jet ski on your own – solo rider
- 12-15 to drive with an adult
What if we have an adult and two kids that can not drive on their own (under 16)?
- We will charge you for three people and give you one jet ski for 45 minutes. You can rotate your kids so each gets about a 20 minute ride.
Can we change drivers?
- We have a buoy where you can pull over and switch drivers on the same jet ski. You can not switch riders between jet skis.
Is there a weight limit?
- You must be able to get yourself back on the jet ski if you fall off.
- Tandem rides are limited to 500 pounds total
- If weight is a concern, you may be asked to upgrade to a solo ride
Can we go anywhere we want during the ride time?
- The state of Hawaii requires commercial jet skis to operate on a course area. The course area is marked by buoys and you must remain on the course.
- You must go the same direction and keep at least 100 feet between you and another jet ski.
- There are restrictions on jumping waves, doing donuts and other actions that are considered dangerous. Remember you are responsible for any damage to equipment, yourself or other participants.
- Violators are asked to leave the course and there is no refund.
Can we take our cameras?
- Hands free cameras are welcome. Cameras are not allowed – unless they are hands free.
- We take pictures and video of your jet ski ride and you can view and purchase these at our digital media center
Can we stay on the Activities Island?
- The floating activities island has open areas for sunbathing and covered areas where you can shade yourself from the warm Hawai’i sun
- Time on the island is limited to your group’s activity times.
Can we do other activities once we are on the activities island?
- Upgrade to additional activities on a space available basis. Restrictions may apply.

What is a banana boat ride?
- Banana boats cause smiles. We believe this to be a scientific fact, though we can’t prove it.
- A banana boat is a yellow inflatable you ride on pulled behind a jet ski

- A bumper tube is an inflatable inner tube that you lay on as you are pulled behind a jet ski

Will we get wet?
- You are on your tummy, your face just inches from the water and the wake of a jet ski. Sound wet enough? Whether you are in Maunalua Bay or the Hawai‘i Kai Lagoon, our advice is simple: Don’t let go! The result will be momentary, total immersion in Hawaiian waters!
