More Than a Tour. A Different Side of O‘ahu.

Hawaii Kai, HI

H2O Sports Hawaii isn’t another jet ski stand lined up along a crowded shoreline. We operate out of our own private marina and permitted bay in Hawaii Kai, on a fleet of boats we designed ourselves — which means the experience you get here doesn’t exist anywhere else on the island.

Our Story

Since 1986, H2O Sports Hawaii has operated out of Maunalua Bay in Hawaii Kai — long before “watersports” was a category tourists searched for. We built the business around a simple idea: O‘ahu’s ocean deserves more than a life jacket and a five-minute briefing on a packed beach. Over the decades, that idea grew into a private marina, a permitted bay, and a fleet found nowhere else in Hawai‘i — most notably the Ocean Lounge and our proprietary HydraHost lounging docks.

Why We’re in Hawaii Kai, Not Waikiki

Ask anyone who’s tried to jet ski off Waikiki Beach: it’s crowded, it’s loud, and you’re sharing the water with dozens of other tour groups. Hawaii Kai is different. We operate under permits that limit how many boats and guests are on Maunalua Bay at once, so your group gets real space — turquoise-water, nobody-else-around space. It’s still Honolulu. It’s still O‘ahu. It’s just the version most tourists never find — and it’s only about 25 minutes from Waikiki, close enough for an afternoon, far enough to feel like you left the hotel zone behind.

A Neighborhood Worth Exploring

Hawaii Kai isn’t just a launch point — it’s a destination in its own right, and worth building extra time into your O‘ahu itinerary.

Hanauma Bay

One of the best snorkeling spots in the state, minutes from our marina.

Koko Head & Koko Crater

Dramatic volcanic landmarks that frame the view from every boat.

Koko Crater Railway Trailhead

A former military railway turned iconic hike, with panoramic views over East O‘ahu at the top.

East O‘ahu access

Hawaii Kai sits at the gateway to the island’s wilder south and windward coasts; Makapu‘u, Sandy Beach, and the scenic drive around the island’s eastern tip are all just minutes away.

Still close to it all

You’re about 25 minutes from Waikiki and Honolulu, so nothing about your trip has to change. You’re just adding one exceptional afternoon to it.

Our Approach

We think of a day with us as turnkey, white-glove Hawai‘i: you check in at Kapua Pond, we handle the water taxi, the boats, the gear, and the safety briefing, and you spend the day picking and choosing what sounds fun. Parents can relax aboard the Ocean Lounge while kids jet ski a few feet away. First-timers and thrill-seekers can share the same boat and each get exactly the experience they came for. It’s all the fun of Hawai‘i, in one bay, on your terms.
